Now, you can enjoy the tart sweetness of classic marmalade without the added sugar thanks to sugar-free peach marmalade. Yes, it is sugar-free. Because the fruits are already sweet and tasty. Why do we add sugar to make it unhealthy?
It is very easy! From now on, every fruit I find fresh and in season, I will make marmalade out of them. Let’s get to the recipe!
- 12 peaches, peeled and the seeds removed
- 1 Tbsp vanilla powder
- 1 Tbsp water
- 2-3 drops of lemon
1-) To prepare the peaches, peel them and remove the pits. Make sure the cubes of peach are all the same size.
2-) Cook the diced peaches in a mixture of lemon juice and natural sweetener. Over medium heat, stirring occasionally, soften the peaches so they may release their juices. This procedure usually takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
3-) For a chunky texture, use a potato masher to lightly mash the cooked peaches; for a finer texture, put the mixture to a blender or food processor. Blend or mash until the appropriate consistency is reached.
4-) If you want a thicker marmalade, you can thicken it by adding chia seeds and stirring them into the recipe. If you let the marmalade cool for a while, the chia seeds will thicken it on their own.
5-) Don’t let go of these: Sterilize some containers or jars and fill them with sugar-free peach marmalade. Don’t put the lid on until it’s completely cooled. Refrigerate till use, and eat up within two weeks.
